The Tuk Tuk app is a mobile application for a local Thai food truck chain. The app allows users to locate and order from Tuk Tuk’s Thai food trucks. This project is a part of my Google UX Design Professional Certificate program. All research and usability tests were conducted with real participants.

Our users need a fast and efficient way to locate and order from our food trucks because of the food trucks’ changing locations and schedule.
Our food truck ordering app will let users place orders and locate our food trucks from mobile which will affect how the customers order our food by providing an easy way for customers to order ahead. We will measure effectiveness by analyzing sales & the app usages.
During foundational UX research, a competitive audit and interviews were conducted to help us create personas and problem statements, as well as discover any potential pain points. We learned that some of our customers have limited knowledge of Thai food. They also need an easy to navigate menu with clear pricing, as well as a way to add notes to their orders.
Paper wireframes and a low-fidelity prototype were created. I then conducted a moderated usability testing with 10 participants using the lo-fi prototype.
After the user logged in, the app will automatically locate the closest Tuk Tuk food truck. The user can select that location or search for other food trucks.
